A Nonlinear Parabolic Equation Modeling
Surfactant Diffusion
Abstract
In this work, we study an initial-boundary value problem for nonlinear
parabolic equations modeling surfactant diffusion. The boundary conditions
are of nonlinear absorbtive types, and the initial value has a single point
jump. We study the well-posedness of the problem, the convergence of a numerical
scheme, regularity as well as quantitative behavior of solutions.
