Admission to the Summer Mathematics Institute at Oakland University is selective. Participation is limited to thirty-six students. Our intention is to create a cadre of bright and gifted participants who will (i) benefit from the opportunity, (ii) be a credit to the Institute and to mathematics, and (iii) foster stimulating interactions with the other participants. To get full consideration, a completed application, including worksheets and comments on the Problem Set, should be at the Institute by May 15, 2003.
Because our goal is to have the best possible student cadre, applications completed after May 15 will be given as much consideration as possible.
Applicants will be notified of admission by June 1, 2003.
