Important Dates for 2006-2007

September 22, 2006

School and Student Registration Forms should be submitted and fees paid by this date. You may submit your registration forms in one of two ways:

• First-class mail, postmarked by this date using the forms provided in the first mailing. These forms are also available on this web site.
• E-mail, using the spreadsheet format posted on the web site.

In all cases, retain copies of all forms submitted for your records. Students are not officially registered until the registration fee of $3 is paid.

Early submission of registration forms will be appreciated. Electronic registrations will be confirmed by the director via e-mail. If you are not able to meet the registration deadline, please contact the MMPC director as soon as possible and we will work to accomodate your school.

October 6, 2006

Part I materials should have been received by the schools. Schools that have not received materials by this date must contact the director for an emergency second mailing. Do not wait beyond this date to make this request.

October 11, 2006

Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition, Part I
1 hour 40 minutes, Wednesday morning.

October 12, 2006

Send answer sheets and signed instruction sheets to the director by first-class mail. Clearly indicate "First Class" on the exterior of the package.

November 24, 2006

Part I results received by schools. Elligible schools also receive the names of those students invited to take Part II and the Part II materials. Contact the director immediately if this mailing is not received by this date.

December 6, 2006

Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition, Part II
1 hour 40 minutes, Wednesday morning.

December 7, 2006

Return Part II exam booklets and registration forms to the director by first-class mail. Clearly indicate "First Class" on the exterior of the package.

January 20, 2007

Grading Day for Part II exams.

February 2, 2007

Part II results received by schools, along with invitations for those students to be recognized at the MMPC Awards Day program.

February 14, 2007

Awards Banquet registration deadline.

February 24, 2007 (tentative)

Awards Day and Banquet (location TBA)
